So sorry for lack of information,I have tried my own limited resources to find any detail and all I have been able to find is a birth and a marriage on the IGI. i have no idea if these people are alive or not,hence my request.

FreeBMD shows that, from the Birth Registration in 1948, his mother's maiden name was Hammond.
