James Noel Francis - Guards Regiment

I am assisting a friend to trace their family history.  I have tried hard to trace one their relatives who they say served during WWII ? All I have is the following: James Noel Francis DOB: 25/12/1912 Born Grimsby. Died 8/2/1982. My friend thinks he served in a Guards Regiment as a Guardsman, possibly Coldstream Guards or Grenadier Guards.  I am very sorry for the lack of information. If he did serve in WWII could someone let me know of his medals awarded.  Thank you Keith

A long shot but.....if he married/had children and was already in the army, then his military details might be listed under "occupation" on the certificate.

If your friend has any photos of him in uniform I am sure there will be Rootschatters who could help.
