Can anyone see anything that advises what Bernard’s parents are called?
Just before I look at purchasing a birth certificate.
Do I order Irish certs just off the GRO website?

It was suggested earlier that (English) birth certificates for children of Bernard & Sarah would get mother's maiden name but the new GRO search allows you to find that for free (see reply #3).

What you now need is the marriage certificate for Bernard & Sarah- mother's aren't listed but should show names & occupations of both fathers.

Civil registration of births, deaths & Catholic marriages in Ireland began in 1864 (from 1845 for non-Catholic marriages including Registry Office) so you won't get birth certificates for Bernard & Sarah and will need to search for baptism records. Many Catholic parish registers are online (free) but coverage varies according to parish.

Can you please identify the census that includes James and Isabella......after 1881?

The BRANIGAN census 1871, includes Bernard GOUFE, who you night suspect is your Bernard. So the family name possibilities might not include "Mc".

Can you give attention to this request -
You have death year for William (1909) and John (1947).  Can you give information about their marriages and children.
