I hope you make a few discoveries! I found my ggf's obituary, and a few more family threads.

FYI the next content release is about a week away, and will be quite a different beastie - it will happen in our Magazines & Journals section around mid-week, all going well.

Hi folks,

yesterday saw another 140,000-ish pages added to PP - we added a large run of Ashburton Guardian up to 1950, the entire run of Industrial Unionist (1913), and we extended the Wairarapa Daily Times collection up to 1938.

We've also updated the information on the "help" page to include more search examples and techniques, some additional notes around zooming and the mobile view, cookies, and research approach tips. The additional information comes from the user satisfaction survey we ran a few months ago. We had a few responses to that survey that included comments like "It needs boolean search tools" and "where have the search filters gone?", and it was unfortunate that we had no way to get in touch with those people so the best I could do was to improve the help page to cover off all the stuff that came up.

I know you folks have a few tricks up your sleeve, but you might find a few things here and there useful in the updated info. As always, just let me know if you have any specific questions, I'm always glad to help.

Happy hunting!

Thanks PP and for your hard work to keep our fingers busy! :D  Unfortunately, I don't have any ancestors in those papers, but happy digging to those who do :D

...and now for something completely different:

Perhaps it's not of the broadest genealogical interest, unless you're a bird, but it's a beautiful publication and we've scanned it in full colour.
