During WW2, some dockyard workers actually worked overseas.
Leonard A Wyborn(e) 1904- 1943 was a welder who died 15 Sept 1943 at 169th British General Hospital at Alexandria( from probate record) There is a record of deaths on NA which shows this too
  (UK, British Army and Navy Birth, Marriage and Death Records, 1730-1960;   http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C513602  )  We were surprised that he is not listed as a civilian casualty by CWGC, and cannot find any other record of death or burial.
Any suggestions were else to look please.

Possibly the reason he is not listed on the CWGC as a civilian casualty is because he died of illness, pneumonia, so was not a casualty of war.

Checking a couple of others on the list who also died of illness, one in Malta and another in Gibraltar, they are not listed on the CWGC site either.

Yes that is possible, but I have a WW1 relative that died of illness and he is listed by CWWG.
 How else can we find a burial?

It makes a difference if they were in the forces. I don’t know about yours, I also have one who died in 1916, but he was a serving soldier who died of TB, he was a regular who had seen already served in the Boer War.

He seems to be married and has children registered in St Germans, is it possible he was returned home for burial.

Hi Mike,
St Germans is the reg area. I  know he lived and Married in Torpoint, but as yet havent found a local burial. Awaiting info from a local friend!
