Sussex Parish Registers online
« on: Friday 07 December 18 10:47 GMT (UK) »
A lot of my ancestors were from Sussex, and I have just realised that Familysearch has several parish records available online, not indexed but with images.

However, some of them are online, some of them accessible only at FHC, whilst others don't appear to be available anywhere.

Has anybody got a list of which parishes are viewable where, if at all?  And why would Familysearch make some available to all and some only available at FHC?

Regards Margaret

The baptisms and burials are online for members via SFHG but they also sell a marriage index CD which is invaluable.

Possibly because they have not yet been digitised and you can only view them on film /fiche at the LDS family history centres

This is normally due to licencing restrictions put in place by the owner/holder of the registers. Some allowed their records to be made available on fiche/film but refused consent to make them available on the internet
