Having carried out a search re the name, there has been several sales of "Hohing" paintings of ships, but no one has commented re the owner of the signature.

Have you got any links, Malky?

I've done searches and the only Hohing that is coming up is a Ken Hohing, Prof of Art at Rutgers University, USA and Tom Hohing, a printmaker.  Ken is primarily a photographer. Neither seem to paint ship scenes 

No older artists named Hohing are coming up.
