Margaret Bell b. 22 Sept 1736 and Robert Bell b. 22 October 1736

Father was Richard for both of these baptisms.
Can anyone verify if there has been a mistake in transcription?  I wondered if these two people were brother and sister?  Has anyone got a trade for Richard Bell who was the father of both children?  Maybe two Richards, but was hoping to have this clarified.

Where did these baptisms take place? There are/were a lot of churches in County Durham.

Thanks Jen, so the transcription is reproduced from Family Search then :-)

These records are not yet transcribed in Durham Records Online, nor are they in FreeReg.
The BTs on Family search do not include this time frame
The Family Search Catalogue shows the original register images have not yet been digitised, so not even viewable at an FHC (they do hold them on microfilm but I believe its no longer possible to order those).

Durham Records Office do hold the registers and have them on microfilm. I don't know if they are available elsewhere, perhaps Darlington Library?

Do be prepared for the baptism record to not have any more info, the mothers rarely got a mention at that time and even father's occupation and abode sometimes wasn't recorded. Worth a look if you are in the Durham area though.

There has been discussion on this before; it's common to find events in this period c1700-1750 where the dates differ by 1 month, based on rather old transcriptions done  by FamilySearch.  Probably a result of databases being transferred between systems numerous times.  As already said, the best bet is to locate images of the PR as well as the BT.  (Original parish record and bishop's transcript)
Rutter, Sampson, Swinerd, Head, Redman in Kent.  Others in Cheshire, Manchester, Glos/War/Worcs.

I have a copy of the original transcript. So thrilled to get the information. It seems that Robert and Margaret were twins and were baptised on the 22 October 1736.  The father was Richard Bell of Red House, Haughton Lane.

It would appear that the previous baptism was one on the 17th October; - so once again transcription error.  So pleased for all your help.
