My children are distantly related to the other parent of their own children.

When those Grandchildren (cousins, from two of my children) are older, I can take them to visit old village parish churches and tell them that both their parents have ancestors who married there  . They are two really lovely old Yorkshire churches, ten miles apart. Where their shared ancestors lived. On both their parents sides

My mum and dad have half their ancestors from Essex, even the same villages, yet I have never found a distant blood link between them.

When I used to visit Essex a lot, I did wonder how many of the residents of the Southend area, Rochford area are distant rellies. Probably quite a lot.
