Gwern y Gof Isaf farm, Ogwen valley
« on: Monday 10 December 18 17:38 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I am trying to find family members that lived at or maybe owned Gwern y Gof Isaf farm, Bethesda.

My connection starts with William John Griffith, DEATH 1672.  He is / was my 8th great-grandfather, if my information is accurate & correct. He married Ales ferch William Ab Ellis my 8th great-grandmother.  They had 7 children
Abraham William
Grace William
Margaret William
Jane William
Huw William
Rowland William
William William –1713 (Our family lineage starts here).

Did they have families of their own??? Any help would be gratefully received.

Dewi

That's interesting. An American cousin of mine descends from people who lived at Tal Y Braich in the same valley, and there are very, very similar names. The dates are about a century off, though !
There is a William Griffith and Alice Williams in his tree with children William, Hugh, Pierce and Mary.  I have separate, earlier ancestors in Tal Y Braich as well. William, the son, had children named Rowland and Abraham,
Owen , Parry , Pritchard, Foulkes  o Llanddeiniolen
Jones, Bellis o Sir Fflint
Williams o Beaumaris
Chambers o Dulyn
Rowlands o Tywyn
