Wow....I am overwhelmed with all this info!  Thank you so much!  I do not have Thomas's birth certificate, so not sure on the date.  Thomas was their last child.

I don’t feel it’s been much help at all!

The only thing I can think is for you to start buying certificates and hope you guess right the first time so you don’t waste money.

Either that, or wait until the 1921 census is released.

If you bought Annie”s birth PDF you would have her exact birth date and might be able to find her on the 1939 register.  If you were lucky might still have children with her.  But of course she may have a new surname.

I do feel you have all given me some names to look up, I have to be careful what birth certificates I order as for me (being in Canada) they cost me almost $20 each.

Although it’s probably another one of those common welsh names!

Hello,
I am a ‘cousin’ trying to help Joanne to solve some mysteries on her tree.
Having failed to pin down Annie Maria, we have moved on to her father Enoch Powell born 1853.
We are doing fairly well, but have failed to locate a birth record for him.
Can anyone help please?

1911 he is at Pentwyn Farm, Newbridge age 59 widower, born Herefordshire, Abbeydore??
1901 he is at Pentwyn Isaf, Penmain, age 48, born Herefordshire, Elizabeth age 54 born Herefordshire.

1891 he is at Twyn College age 38 born Herefordshire, Kingston, Elizabeth age 43 born Herefordshire

1881, at Penmain age 28 born Kingston, Elizabeth age 33 born Clodoch, Herefordshire

1871 we have failed to find him

1861, at Kingstone Village, Enoch is with his parents William age 56 born Hay, Breconshire, a shepherd and Mary age 51 born Walterston, Herefordshire.

This looks like his birth record - but it's not showing on the GRO site as they've transcribed it as Cnoch!
Mother's maiden name is Davis (or possibly Davies, going by potential birth records for siblings)
