Thank you all your replies to date.  I have been researching FH for twenty years and I have come to Rootschat just to see if anyone has any bright ideas.  ::)  I have tried everywhere possible but we have been hitting brick walls everywhere we turn.  I am extremely grateful for everyone's contribution to date.  My friend has lost her mother, her sister and her brother and is starting to lose hope that she may never know the truth.  So please keep the post going just to open up any avenues that I may not have thought of.    I wasn't aware of Sudbury in Derbyshire and Sedbury in Gloucestershire....and Mabel was also known as Mavis. I remember Faulkner in the Sudbury area. My maiden name is Fulker, and I have found many ways of this being mis-heard/mis-transcribed.

SM
Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?
