Help with Hough Hall, Moston, Manchester

I have been given permission by Sarah to place this help request in trying to locate probable living people.

We are taking the first steps into saving Hough Hall in Moston this 500 year Grade 2 Listed building is on the point of collapse and needs urgent rescue work.

The Consumer Watchdog Foundation and the F/B group Moston Remembered are trying to locate who they believe to be the owners, a task which so far has drawn a blank.

We are trying to find and contact Roger Barnard and Heather Mawhinney of unknown locations but they purchased it back in 2005. Rumours suggest Roger may still be in North Manchester.

Well, thanks to the help of people in Moston – a place close to my heart – we have traced Roger Barnard, the once-renowned artist now assumed to own Hough Hall.
Unfortunately, as many of you probably know we are not in the UK therefore we have asked somebody to act on our behalf and explain to Roger that this not a witch-hunt but simply an attempt to get Historic England and Manchester City Council to recognise something needs to be done about this historic landmark.
We are waiting for this person's response.
Historic England and Manchester City Council will work with Roger to solve any problems … but Roger needs to know what is going on.
Next, the people of Moston need to rally together and fight to get things done … a number of people have contacted us offering to get involved and they need to set up a local action group.
From our side at the consumerwatchfoundation.com we are happy to offer advice etc and to publicise your battle.
