Nicholas Kossich/Kossick,New Orleans

I am trying to confirm that I have the correct Nicholas Kosich.
My great grandfather had a brother who migrated to,New Orleans. He was born in Viganj ,Croatia Sept 22 1881.
He was said to have died from dysentery.Had married and had Chn.
I can place him in New Orleans in 1906 as a witness at a wedding.
I found a Nicholas Kossich/Kossick /Kosich
Married Mary Grecich in 1906
Chn. Frances 1906,Maria 1907 and Nicholas Anthony 1908.
Died 1909 at Hotel Dieu ,aged 27
I have found several documents ,however not one has a birthdate/place of birth to give me the confirmation that I need
I was hoping that I could find the hospital records from Hotel Dieu. I hope someone can help

The actual surname is Kosić. I’ve found many variations -Kosich-Kossick etc
Australian relatives spell it Kosick .
I found all that information. It is for the Nicholas Kosich who died in 1909. Just can’t find a definite nugget in all that besides his age at death and that it was in New Orleans and the name and that he was from Dalmatia ... I was hoping a hospital record would have a date of birth.

I posted the information for reference as I said and then discovered previous topic. Duplicate topics cause needless work for those trying to help.

1910 census Mary & only two children listed under Cosich- Maria Nellie and another child seem to have died in infancy. Unfortunately census lists children's father was born Louisiana.

Perhaps later census records (1920 & 1930) will give different birthplace for Nicholas.

Son Walter Nicholas Kossich buried 1949 St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Perhaps his father also buried there? Have you tried contacting them to see if any more details in their files?

Thank you. I’ve looked online for a burial place but no luck. I never thought of ,or knew that you could contact a cemetery directly !!
Maria Nellie did die young.
My Nicholas was born in Viganj-a town in Dalmatia
The Nicholas who died in 1909 was born in Dalmatia.

No reason you can't contact a cemetery and hopefully they will respond. Haven't been in touch with that one but Metaire Cemetery not only sent details of relative I asked about but everyone else in the tomb which was an enormous help finding previously unknown connections.
