G'day Members,
I have just returned to Rootschat after about eight years absence and have found quite a change in the system.
Could someone please assist me.
I am seeking the arrival of a John AUSTIN/AUSTEN and his family aboard the vessel HONDURAS in 1839.

Do you know his folk’s names or names of wife and children?

When was he born?

Thank you Jamjar,

All we know at the moment is that his father was Edward and that he came to Australia from Kent in 1839 aboard the vessel "Honduras" with his wife and 8 children.

Margaret AUSTIN, d 15.6.1898, aged 66 years (thus b abt 1835)

The younger John Austin is of an age to be the son of "your" John AUSTIN. TROVE has a short mention of the younger John,stating that he was one of the pioneer residents of Carcoar.
