A Trad & Co
« on: Thursday 13 December 18 11:32 GMT (UK) »
The above had an import business I believe operating from 2, South Street, Manchester in the 1860s to 1890s. They possibly had another premises. I have found a couple of trade directory entries but just simple name, address and business. Can anyone point me towards anywhere that I might find any more information about the business?

Is this the family in 1881

Abdallah Trad is a Retired Shipper

I don’t think Edward Mellor should be there - error in transcribing.

In 1891 3170/63

Annie and Theodore are with her mother and Theodore is ‘living on his father’s means’.

Marriage Salford 8d 112
1869
Abdallah Shackur Trad and Hannah Jane Ogden - Salford registry Office or Registrar attended

I know you want company details but the marriage might inform you of the trade. Of course, you may have these details.

Yes I have the family detail but I was interested in finding any info about the Company that he owned. He sold the business at some point and he and his son appear to have lived on the profit made.

As he is retired in 1881, it would seem to have been sold prior to that.
