looking for baptism whaley thorns 1904
« on: Thursday 13 December 18 15:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi Can anybody help please? If you have access to parish records for Whaley Thorns I'd appreciate info on a baptism for Frances Fowler for 1904 please. If I have the right person she is shown on the 1911 census as being born there, but I just need to make sure I have the right person before following her family back.
Thanks in advance.

Baptisms for Whaley Thorns are on ancestry , but there is no baptism for Frances Fowler 1904 nor baptisms for any of her siblings. ( the available baptisms do cover the right time period ).

Edit - nothing in other parishes either.

Can't find a bp but from National School Admission Registers in 1908 and 1913 to Whaley Thorns Infant and Secondary schools her father is given as George Fowler.  I think you will find his wife was Emily b abt  1871.  You should be able to now find them on census in Whaley Thorns, dist of Bolsover.  Come back if you need more help.

Ooh thanks for that!  Where are these records held and would I be able to access a copy anywhere?

Go to https://search.findmypast.co.uk/search-world-records-in-education-and-work

Enter her name, year of birth and location. There will be two results, one for infants and one for secondary school.

You will need credits to see the details and images.
