Welcome to Rootschat

If you mean the name of the actual person that would be very much dependent on somebody recognising him from their own FH.  From the uniform it seems as though you are looking for somebody possibly of Scottish origin

Where is the photo from - any clues as to who the bride was?

What year was the photo taken?

Medals a clue?  Is that the Military cross?
It’s not the Victoria which would be better as fewer of them, wrong ribbon.

Yes, Scottish in origin, possibly from somewhere around Inverness. Looks like an MC to me. I think the uniform is Argyll and Sutherlanders but could be wrong...

So where have you got the photo from? How has it come into your possession?

Her hair suggests 1940s I think.

Added: Welcome to roostchat Tommy.

Was this photgraph found within other family photographs? The location looks interesting. (Weatherboarded building)

It’s also a very nice and well fitting dress for that period, so I’m thinking money.

Is there a list of all recipients of the MC for that regiment?  Presumably WW2.
