Hi, I have an ancestry subscription, do you know if there is any way of searching using the vol and page number to view the certificate online?

LancashireBMD say that the marriage took place at "West Derby, Register Office or Registrar Attended".

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Sorry, I only just saw your reply.
You can view many Liverpool Catholic records on Ancestry.
There is no access to English civil certificates.

As I say the GRO reference details are of relevance only to ordering from the GRO.

However the good news is that this Catholic marriage is included in Ancestry's online collection titled "Liverpool, England, Catholic Marriages 1754-1932".

If you haven't already searched for it there then I suggest you use the Latinised versions of the parties' names: Petrum Melia should get you to the right record.

Margaret George  3 Ct 1 house Pembroke Place
Parents Thomas and Mary

Just for the record, I believe Margaret's mother is recorded in this marriage register as Annae (Ann), not Mary.

Ann is also given in the annotated baptism register, discussed in another thread ...
