Copying images into magazine articles
« on: Friday 14 December 18 19:47 GMT (UK) »
I'm preparing an article on my ancestors for a magazine, and I've found (On FindMyPast) an image of discharge papers (1827) for one of them. I presume one needs some sort of authorisation for that, so I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
Also, would there be regimental records somewhere from this period ? . He belonged to the 69th South Lincolnshire Regiment of foot.

FindMyPast own the copyright of their online image, you would need their written or email permission,
You might not get it

There's nothing stopping you doing a transcript of his discharge papers.
The records for the 69th. are held at Kew but you would need to go there to view them

The best you can hope for online are the musters if you can find them.
A bit about where they were:
