RCI Dumfries ??

I have a 1954 burial record for an Agnes Jane Cairns and in the remarks column it has "Died at RCI Dumfries". Could someone tell me what RCI stood for. I'm guessing that it was an infirmary.

Hi, I took a quick look at the death certificate today. Agnes died in Nithsdale house, which is part of the Crichton Royal Institution. Her usual address was at Rowanburn, near Canonbie.
Looks like someone transposed the initials.
