Hello. Desperately seeking on John Patterson born 1709 in Co. Antrim.  I know nothing else of him in Ireland.  He doed in North Carolina in 1791.  Any info greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat  Unfortunately there won't be many records for early 1700s in County Antrim and you really will need a better location than 'County Antrim'- parish if not actual townland- and religion (although most church records won't go back that far).

They were Presbyterian. I know about him when he starts showing up in Pennsylvania by 1750, but other than the year he was born, his county, and his religion, I know nothing about him before 1750’s PA. I don’t know his parents names, siblings, or exactly when he came here.  I’m just really stumped. I do know that they came to Co. Antrim from Scotland but don’t know where in Scotland, and since I don’t know his parents, I don’t see how I can get to Scotland.

With the limited information you have and records available I can't see how you'll be able to find the family in Ireland let alone Scotland.

Have you checked local histories, other branches of the family, etc.?

That’s what I think too, but I’m not ready to give up just yet. I know more than the other branches of the family.  I’ve gotten this far and can seem to get no further.
