Sarah Russell born abt 1798 Brackagh, Armagh

Hello everyone - I am looking for Sarah Russell, born abt 1798 in Brackagh. She married Samuel Williams in 1822 in Belfast at St Ann's. they had a number of children, of whom Letitia (married to John Graham) is the only one I really know about. Sarah's children mentioned on her memorial that she came from Brackagh. If anyone has access to the Seagoe archives for Russell, this would be really useful. I believe that Sarah was Church of Ireland. here's hoping!

No location given, but Sarah is bapt. Nov 3, 1799 by Robert and Matilda at Seagoe.  Daughter Matilda is bapt Jan 22, 1809.  She must have died as another Matilda is bapt June 19, 1813 in Drumgor.  Lots of Russels in Drumgor including a Robert and Martha. The problem is that there is a Sarah who died Aug 21, 1815 at age 21.  I don't see a marriage record for Robert and Matilda and don't see another Sarah being baptized about 1894.  If you know of other children born during this time, perhaps Martha and Matilda are one and the same person.  Then James, Robert, John and Elizabeth are more children.

More issues: There is a Robert and Jane having dau Matilda in 1830 Lylo, so maybe they are related. Sarah Russell of Drumgor married Thomas Pentland of Ballyhannon  in 1844. No other obvious Sarahs in the Seagoe records.

Matilda age 69 died in Drumgor  Dec 4, 1839 and one of the Roberts died there in Sept 14, 1838 at age 67.  No telling which one of the Roberts, but he may be the one born to John and Sarah Russell 1770, bap April 25. His wife had maiden name of Russell and they were married 1853. They had dau Sarah b 1867, one of the few Sarahs in the records.  If you want records, I can send them.

Kat, you are simply fantastic, thank you so much! On the memorial to their mother, the surviving children of Sarah and Samuel say that 5 children (their siblings) died in infancy. It appears that Samuel (a comb-maker) and Sarah were in Belfast from their marriage in 1822. I don't know any other of their children's names, but all were apparently baptised at St Ann's. These records are for a friend of mine, and it is interesting that the name 'Pentland' crops up, as I have this name in my own tree of Blacks and Joyces from Brackagh and Seagoe.

If there is anything else you can ferret out re Russells or Williams, I would be grateful!
