Article Search Denver, CO around Aug, 1932
« on: Monday 17 December 18 18:25 GMT (UK) »
So I am trying to find an article related to the death of my GG Grandpa.  My GG Grandpa, was supposedly killed by a drunk driver in Denver, CO in 1932.  I have found a second cousin who said she had found an article at one point when living in Denver, but failed to gain a copy.  His name is Lee Manning.  It is believed he was there looking for work.  We have been told he had previously lost an arm in an incident with the oil industry.  (I have found no proof of this as of yet either because I do not know when or where it happened but, as the family moved from OK to CA, I have to figure either there or KS which is where he was born.)

My cousin said it was the Denver Post, but in my research I have not been able to find any Denver Post anything in 1932.  There are other chronicles but not the Post.  Any assistance in finding this article would be greatly appreciated.

If you need names of surviving relatives that may also be listed in the article, Viola Manning was his wife.  His Children were, Marion Roy, Chester W., Leo Adolf(Or Jack he legally changed his name when he was old enough as he hated Leo Adolf.), Nell Jewel, Robert Lee, Lyle Eugene, and Helen Maxine. Again I am not sure which chronicle it would be in. I truly appreciate any help.

Articles about his death appeared 3 times. Twice in the Denver Post & once in the Rocky Mountain News
