64 King St, Pancras/Marylebone 1911 Census
« on: Wednesday 19 December 18 15:01 GMT (UK) »
It's long after the family I'm interested in left but it suddenly occured to me that it could supply some important information about number of rooms and kind of house etc. Can anyone check out the details/results from the 1911 census for me?

Lookups of the 1911 census are not allowed on RootsChat ::)

It's was originally all to do with copyright and legal issues - I presume it still is?

I don’t have any information about no. 64 in particular, but (if it helps) nearby addresses look likely to have been large houses, each divided up formally or informally so as each to accommodate, say, three or four households with about 3 rooms each.

When were your people living there?
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)
London: Pierce
Suffolk: Markham (Framlingham)
Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

1845/6 until the 1880's sometime, there in 1881 but gone in 1891. There always seem to be several families occupying the house but I became curious as to how many rooms each family would have.

Can I just check which King St you mean?  The divided houses I mentioned were in Camden Town.   There was at least one other King St, near Portman Square (now Blandford St) but not sure that was long enough to go up to no 64.

Yes, Camden Town, modern day Plender Street.
