Wood family: trying to find who immigrated to US
« on: Wednesday 19 December 18 22:31 GMT (UK) »
The furthest back I've found is Philip Wood, born 1718 in Maryland. Married to Mary Slye. Plenty of information on Mary and Slye family, but can't find any information on Philip's parents, perhaps his father was the immigrant. Perhaps Wood isn't the original family surname?  Any help is appreciated.

Starting to wonder if I messed up somewhere in my ancestry. Sure of Father: Richard K. Wood (1932-2005) and Grandfather: Kenneth L. Wood (1905-1983). Pretty sure of Great Grandfather: Thomas B. Wood (1878-1944) - info for him from a relative. Then I have John O Wood (1840-1915), William H Wood (1818-?), Otho Wood (1794-1832), Henry Wood (1754-1821), then Philip. I could've followed a wrong track based on other Ancestry trees, I'm not sure.

Is this the Thomas Wood you think is your great grandfather?

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
