I think a Rector may be an incumbent of a parish who receives tithes personally, whereas a vicar is an incumbent who doesn't receive tithes pesonally, but they go elsewhere(e.g.chapter house)

I need to meet this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Francis_Walker. I've transcribed so many records which were written in his lovely handwriting (the parish records of Purleigh, Essex, where he was curate). I felt quite attached to him while I was transcribing. And shed a little tear when I transcribed his own burial.

Current parishes - Burnham, Purleigh, Steeple.

I would like to meet the enumerator of the 1861 census for the section of St Pancras that is missing, which has my ancestors living in that district at the time. Also I would love to meet "W Daniell" the man who admitted my 4xgreat gran to Marylebone workhouse in December 1848.
