Harry Travis died September 1918

I am hoping that there is a photo somewhere of Harry in his uniform. His details:

connected with Heyside Parish Church & Sunday School Oldham
originally joined the 2/10th (Oldham) Batt, Manchester Regt, his army number is one that was issued to the cotton town comrades [10th man regt] How died:   Killed in action
Theatre of war:  France & Flanders
Supplementary Notes:  FORMERLY 69840, 106TH T.R. BATTN
enlisted in Shaw near Oldham.
The 2/10th Batt did not go to France until March 1917, & was disbanded in Feb 1918, 250 men were transferred to the 1/10th Batt, & the remainder being posted to the 1/7th Batt & 1/8th Batt Manchester Regt.
Lance Corporal Service No.376821   Manchester Regiment United Kingdom Unit 1st/7th Bn.II. Killed at Flanders .

That was a different Harry Travis - per "Soldiers Died in the Great War" he was Royal Fusiliers (City Of London) Regiment GS/74677.

Your man is listed in the medal rolls and "Soldiers Died" as Henry Travis

Thank you for correcting me on that. I would hate to be following the wrong Henry/Harry Travis.  This is the obituary for him.

I was hoping for a photo. of him in his uniform.

That's wonderful, thank you for posting. It would be great if I can get hold of a uniform .  Can I ask about his brother Robert Travis born 1892. He served in the Kings Own Royal Lancaster regt. as a Lance Corporal. What would his uniform look like?

His uniform would be the same. This was the standard 1908 pattern uniform as issued to all soldiers. The only difference being the Regimental cap badge. All Regiments had their own style.
