No trace on 1841 census, I wonder if this is why.

Josiah Philpott Age: 53 (1789)
Date of Trial: 3 Jan 1842 Wiltshire, England
Sentence: Imprisonment 6 months
Crime: Fraud

Hi as cannot be located in 1841, a J P aged 50 is a patient in Laverstock House Lunatic Asylum, Alderbury
