Thanks for all the Detective work......Hope you enjoyed Xmas.

So nice to see Charlie's face in the newspaper clip & the concern shown by his family.

Infuriatingly, there is a tattered B&W photo of Charlie in Army kakis with a small monkey on his shoulder (Gibraltar ?) somewhere in all the 'stuff', but it seems missing. (Ouch)

I understand & fully appreciate that any living descendants must not be divulged here but if anyone wishes to PM me anything that would 'point me in the right direction', I would be grateful & can assure you I will be the soul of discretion & won't go banging this stuff all over 'Facebook' (!).

Enjoy the holiday & Happy New Year.

ATB & Thanks again.

Hi again, hope you enjoyed your Christmas day.  I have been doing a little Boxing Day detective work (good fun and it keeps me out of the fridge for a while  ;D)

I have, hopefully accurately, listed below the parents and siblings of Charles Wallace (who by now are deceased) in the hope that anyone searching them online will find this thread and make contact with you.  I have named descendants who are now deceased, but have had to be vague about the names of potentially living descendants. The potentially living people can be found on FreeBMD by searching births by the surname with the mother's maiden name, however I can p.m. you the names.

Parents of CHARLES WALLACE: William Wallace (died 3 Mar 1944) and Mary Hansen/Hanson

Siblings of CHARLES WALLACE (b. 1913):

WILLIAM WALLACE b. 1907 - no marriage/children found but he was still alive in 1966 (mentioned in newspaper obit for brother Thomas)

CATHERINE WALLACE b. 1909. (Known as Katie from newspaper reports)
Married Frederick Cureton in 1932 in Conway.
Catherine and Frederick Cureton had 2 children:
1) William Cureton b. 1933 West Derby, he died 24 June 1960 (newspaper).  William married a lady with the surname Fielding in 1955.  They had 2 daughters in 1957 and 1958 in Liverpool.
2) "female" Cureton b. 1944 Liverpool.  Possible marriage of this lady to a Mr. Donnelly in 1965 Liverpool.

THOMAS BRUCE WALLACE b. 1910.  He died on 20 July 1966 (newspaper).
Married Winifred Rankin in 1933 West Derby.
Thomas and Winifred Wallace had possibly 3 children:
1) "female" Wallace b. 1934 West Derby
2) "male" Wallace b. 1936 Liverpool
3) "female" Wallace b. 1941 Liverpool

THERESA WALLACE B. 1911
Theresa married Anthony McNulty in 1966 in Liverpool.  As Theresa married late in life it is unlikely she had any children.
Death for Theresa McNulty 26 Dec 1998 (spookily exactly 20 years ago today).  Her death notice was placed in the newspaper by her sister Mary, and Theresa's late husband Tony was mentioned).

ANNIE ELLEN WALLACE b. 1914
No marriage/children found. She is still alive in in 1945 (newspaper remembrance for her father) but she is not named in the newspaper obituary for her brother Thomas in 1966, so she may have died before then.

MARY ADELAIDE WALLACE b. 1917. Died in 2000 in Knowsley.
Possible marriage to James Cowen in 1939 Liverpool.
Possible children of Mary and James Cowen:
1) "female" Cowen 1939 Liverpool
2) "male" Cowen 1942 Liverpool.

Enjoy the rest of the Christmas break

Hi JOOL, ….thanks for that extensive search, "That's above & beyond the call of duty" as they might mention in despatches. (?).

The local libraries are closed till Jan 2nd, I'll try my luck then.

Hopefully, (my tech skils are basic) I've uploaded a photo of Charlie's addres; 62a County Rd, Walton, Liverpool........It's actually located behind the Sports shop where my Mother too me as a 9yrs boy for my very first pair of football boots ('St Crispin Super Wings'....we couldn't affors 'Timpson Shooting Stars' back then) !

Anyway, Thanks again.

Have a great New Year (everyone).

Hi,
Charles wallace was my uncle. I was wondering if you had any more information on him.
My mother was Annie Ellen wallace, his sister.
Thanks
