Hi gang,Just found out my Grt uncle was in the Essex Regiment in WW1 and got to the rank of sergeant.Can anybody out there look for his war record please if it still exists,would like to know where he was ect.Frederick survived the war and died in 1940,all the best Neil. :)
Brown and Oakley family Glemsford and Lavenham Suffolk,Simpson, Stewart/Steward,Hartley,Hardy family all Lavenham. Pepper family Herringswell, Wakerley & Suffolk.Chapman and Pattle family  Suffolk. Desmond family from cork Ireland and London. Anybody wants information on the Brown family from Suffolk let me know would be glad to help.

A quick scan of the Medal Index Cards shows several Frederick BROWNs in the Essex Regiment.  To help the search, could you let us know his pre-war address and parents' names?

Hi,His address was Lavenham in Suffolk and mothers name was Adelaide.
Brown and Oakley family Glemsford and Lavenham Suffolk,Simpson, Stewart/Steward,Hartley,Hardy family all Lavenham. Pepper family Herringswell, Wakerley & Suffolk.Chapman and Pattle family  Suffolk. Desmond family from cork Ireland and London. Anybody wants information on the Brown family from Suffolk let me know would be glad to help.
