Details - Pensioner of Leinster Regiment
« on: Saturday 22 December 18 14:58 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I'm looking to find more details about my great grandfather James Quirke from Tralee.  On the 1911 census he was noted as being 27 years old and a pensioner of the Leinster Regiment. I know that he reenlisted during WW1 and was sent to France. He survived the war and had 13 children. I have his service number for this period but the number does not bring up any details for his prior army service.
Does anyone know where I could look to find his war record for his first service with the Leinster Regiment? He is not on the 1901 census, which makes me think he was possibly abroad with the army.
Thanks in advance!

K

This would be better on the Armed Forces board I'll ask a moderator to move it for you.
