Donnahlong is [placed by who] on a map roughly where Downpatrick  Co Down is 1 mile going up the quoile river in a southwards direction.see the Harlan family 1685 in http://www.thekingealogy.com/tng/getperson.php?personID=I57537&tree=tree1

Dave Boylan searches in 2004  https://www.genealogy.com/forum/regional/countries/topics/ireland/58036/ for Donnahlong he thinks its Donaghcloney Co Down. Donaghcloney is 25 miles east of Downpatrick which

but he also researches Dunnalong [in Donaghedy parish] which is located in County Tyrone, near Strabane, up near the County of Derry. This place is nowhere near Shankill in County Armagh or Donaghcloney in County Down. he mention Annalong once,  someone describing the county Down and then Annalong would be 2nd best if its not  Downpatrick, however the place is not well located, if you get carried away see Dunalong Castle Cork City https://www.logainm.ie/1389322.aspx

My descendent is John Bay born 1650s died 1700 in colonial Maryland. It is speculated that his father is John Bay born circa 1619. Left Gravesend port on Aug. 10 1635 landed in Norfolk Virginia that fall. It wasmt until 1642 that William Eyres listed him on a head right claim stating that his passage ws paid for my William Eyres.

I went back to bill macafee’es website
and looked up 1630 Muster Rolls for the Baronies of Cary, Dunluce, Kilconway and Toome, Co. Antrim
362   McBea   McBea   Neal   Earl of Antrim's British Tenants   Dunluce
I am born Belfast and have a slight scots ulster ear which to me means say the name Bay in any Scottish sounding  way you can imagine.     And you may then guess the spelling .
I think you might find a direct contact with Bill beneficial if you get his opinion could it be a mcBay  I am out of my depth in this century

and now I must stop
