Online tree has images of certs etc.

Are you able to share these with me perhaps in PM? I have a ancestry account but can't really afford the paid membership to see these! Can you see anything on their daughter Mary and her husband(s)??

Thanks :)

Hi Kirsty

Re:  your reply # 64 ... (image of your Tree - where you have "starred" your grandparents photos.

Of course there is previous conversation on here relating to NEWTON family (and where Mary, wife of James NEWTON - married 1923) fits in.

Interestingly, I see the person you have "starred" as being "your grandparent" (grandfather) is named as "James H. NEWTON ... born 1910."

So, is he not Harold James / James Harold - birth registered 1910,  the son of James NEWTON and his first wife, Marion Josephine HICKTON (marr. 1909) ???   [Note:  Mother's name shown as "Marrion" in birth index. ]

In fact if you go to the following link for the Letters of Administration in the Estate of James NEWTON, Plumber of Gisborne, 1941, the whole family scenario is "spelled out" in that documentation.   ;)

Hi Kirsty ... can you confirm that James Harold / Harold James NEWTON - born 1910 was indeed your grandfather ??

If so that would mean that you are not connected to the line of Mary NEWTON (nee ALLWOOD) ... which I think has already been pointed out earlier in this thread ?
