Using quick reply on iPad.

When I try to reply to a post when on my iPad, using the quick reply area on the screen, I cannot get the message to transmit, but if I use the full reply method it is usually ok.
I am sure this is a recent problem.  Has anyone else found the same?
This does not apply when I use the laptop.

I’m replying to your thread using the quick reply button on my iPad.

It was either a temporary glitch or there’s something wrong with your iPad - have you tried the age old solution of turning it off and on again?

Glad it was just a glitch Ainslie, thanks Ray it goes to show that turning things on and off fixes most problems.

It’s usually down to something being “digital” - things get confused and turning them off and on re-sets them. (It doesn’t happen with good old “analogue” equipment.) It even worked with our shower although I had to lift the floorboards to get to the main switch!

Maybe a stupid question but what is a ‘quick’ reply, compared to a ‘full’ reply? I’m on my ipad

Below your own post I saw a blue box marked REPLY. Clicking on the box opened a space for this message.
Further down was another space QUICK REPLY which would also take text.

I have the blue-green REPLY box - which is what i use - but I can’t see a QUICK REPLY box anywhere
