Hi I’m trying to find my great grandmas birth records
Mary A Frances Higgins
Born 1881/82 Castletown co mayo
Father Thomas Higgins
Mother Elizabeth
Not a lot to go on, I can find her marriage certificate in 1910 in Dublin to my grandfather Fred fisher but I can’t find her and I don’t know where to start!

Firstly, you have posted your query on the Down board , rather than Mayo. If this is a mistake, you could ask a moderator to move it.

1911 Beeston shows ‘May’ b Charlestown not Castletown. Do you have more information re her origins?
Sorry for all the questions but the birth found already is Killala rather than Charlestown.
