On 691 James Wentzell (2 l's) the four references you have are to be found on Findmypast.  1871 is simply the census, WO121 is the register of discharges, WO97 is his discharge document, the latter is the most informative.  The 1861 is the same man serving first in the 17th Lancers (East Indies = India) transferring later to the 20th Hussars.

Albert later unless someone else finds him first.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

The Familysearch result is a reference to a Merchant Navy record also on Findmypast but his dob would appear to be 1834 in London.  The National Archives document is BT 116/99.

Nothing more I'm afraid than you have already  -  it is transcribed on Findmypast.   Probably worth contacting the Manchester and Lancs FH Society who hold the copyright.

Can anyone help me with a query.  John Hogan, was definitely in the 12 Regiment of Foot in Sydney Australia in 1859, as he was married in Sydney.  Believed to be a Drummer with the 12th, Born 1840 Mauritius, father also a soldier John Hogan, born Ireland.
John Junior appears on the 1861 Army Index as Drummer in the 2nd Btn, 2nd Warwickshire with a service number of 769.
There is a 1871 census entry for Private John Hogan with the correct wife and child at Fullwood Barracks, Lancashire.
I cannot positively identify which regiment or army unit was at those barracks at that time.
I do not know if it is feasible for him to transfer from the 12th foot to the 2n Warwickshire?

769 John Hogan is in Secunderabad India in the period Apr-Jun 1871 with 2nd Warwickshires so is likely to be the 1861 Hogan.

In 1871 the 1st Battalion 12th Regiment of Foot (and the depot of the 12th) were in Prestopn.

Looks like the Warwickshire regiment man was a coincidence of names and missing is the 12th Regiment man in 1861.  1st Battalion 12th were in Australia in 1861,
