Charles Bertram Hall from Chichester - did he naturalise to the US?
« on: Thursday 27 December 18 15:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi there, I'm hoping someone might be able to help. My great-grandfather's brother was Charles Bertram Hall, born in Chichester around 1871/2. Ancestry lists his baptism as 25 February 1871, and his birth is indexed in January 1872. I have census records for 1881 and 1891 and a possible 1911 census where he shares the same occupation as his father (baker), but after that nothing. Ancestry lists a Charles Bertram Hall in their Michigan Naturalisation Records with a US Census entry in 1920, but I can't access these on my subscription. This may or may not be the same person who may have emigrated. If someone were able to let me know whether there's anything in the US records that might confirm if this is the same CB Hall or not I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks for any help.
Best wishes,
Jon.

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies, very much appreciated and really helpful. I had no idea that they'd emigrated so thank you for checking the US records. I guess I must have a few distant US cousins then!
