Hi Sandra,

You're very kind. One small favour if I may then, I've been trying to locate the passenger arrival lists on the ship Philadelphia for 19/11/1911 that another respondent mentioned on FamilySearch without any luck. I may not be searching FamilySearch correctly or maybe it's in Ancestry's US records, but if there's a link to the original document I'd love to be able to see it. Hope that's OK to ask.

Ah! Thanks Sandra, I should have guessed that. On the 1891 census he's listed as Birt! Thanks for finding it for me  :)

William on the 1930 / 1940 in earlier reply census was William Marcus Turner -
William (FatherFrank Turner - Mother Ella Hall) married 24 may 1952 - Shirley Lorraine Robb - Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.
The couple divorced 11 Jun 1973 (will send Ohio Divorce Abstract by pm for you to have a look at the grounds.)
Couple had 3 children.

William did remarry - Remarriage 31 May 1979)
William had been married once previously -  Phyllis A Weddle twice.

Will send Phyllis divorce record
