Edward Jobling marriage to Anne Tynemouth area pre1783 Advice appreciated
« on: Friday 28 December 18 17:44 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for advice on finding the marriage of Edward Jobling"s parents  who was baptized 1783
at Tynemouth   Parents Edward and Anne Jobling

NameEdward JoblingGenderMaleChristening Date7 Sep 1783Christening PlaceTynemouth, Northumberland, EnglandPhillimore Ecclesiastical Parish Map8174FatherEdward JoblingMotherAnne JoblingSearch PhotosTynemouth, Northumberland, EnglandHousehold Members
NameAge
Name
Anne Jobling
Name
Edward Jobling
Name
Edward Jobling

Except for Edward I have not been able to find any other children so I do not know when they married or if they married in Tynemouth.

I have checked the IGI records  Ancestry hints and except for that I do not know where to look.
On Family Search it indicates this about Tynemouth records

"Tynemouth Parish Church - North Shields, Christ Church: Records of baptisms 1607-1979, marriages 1607-1981 and burials 1607-1979 are available at Northumberland Collections Service. Baptisms 1607-1908, marriages 1607-1909, banns 1763-1778, 1815-1824, and burials 1607-1924 can also be seen at Tyne and Wear Archives Service.  The International Genealogical Index (I.G.I.) includes baptisms 1607-1734 and marriages 1607-1733 for this parish, and Boyd's Marriage Index includes marriages 1607-1733. Transcripts of baptisms, burials and marriages 1607-1734 are available in the Local Studies Departments of Newcastle Central Library and Gateshead Central Library. Newcastle Central Library, Local Studies Dept. also has a transcript of monument inscriptions."

Being right in the middle of Canada it appears I cannot go to the Mormon Family History Center here as they will not have them and it appears Ancestry does not have the records for the dates I would need if they married and had more children in Tynemouth unless I am not reading it correctly.

Any advice on how to continue my researching is appreciated and a Happy New Year to all from Winnipeg.

Jim

Using the film number which appears against Edwards baptism on familysearch (1068907)
Other possible siblings also baptised Christ Church, Tynemouth parents Edward & Ann(e)
Robert Jobling bapt 9 Jan 1780
John Jobling born 11 June 1785 bapt 28 Aug 1785

Where did you find the mother's name Ann?

On the baptism only Edward's father is named. I see he was a mariner.  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-DZ7S-HT7?i=106&wc=9K53-SP8%3A13617901%2C30809801%2C30809802&cc=1309819

If you can wait up to a few weeks (fitting in with my work hours) I will check the marriages etc at the Newcastle library for Christ Church and see if I can find them.

Father's occupation on both baptisms is mariner, so quite likely siblings of Edward bapt.  1783

One to put on the back burner.

Marriage at Hebburn St Cuthbert, 8th January 1776, Edward Jobling and Ann Grey.
