Freereg also has a burial of an Ann Joblin age 53 buried 30th August 1813.  This would make her birth year 1760.

I'm also wondering whether they would have had grave stones.  There are monumental inscriptions for Tynemouth in Newcastle library though I don't know what period they cover.  If there is a record of a head stone then it might connect Edward to Ann.

if it is the death record is my Anne Jobling her year of birth would coincide perfectly with Anne Grey who was baptized at Warkworth
Can I access records in the Newcastle Library.

I agree the Warkworth Ann is a possible but you may have to check if she died young or married there.
FreeREG has the records under Grey/Gray

I have just looked at the memorial inscriptions book for Christ Church, Tynemouth at Newcastle City Library.  There was apparently only one Jobling grave stone.  Ref 261 page 93:

'The burial place of Thomas and Jane Jobling, North Shields.  John son of the above, died Dec., 23rd, 1811 aged 2 years & 8 mths.
Ann Jobling, dau., of the above died Mar., 13, 1813, aged 7 months.  Also George Jobling son of the above Thomas & Jane Jobling, died Nov., 14, 1819, aged 3 1/2 years.
Also Jane Jobling, wife of the above Thomas Jobling and mother of the above named children died May 7, 1824, aged 46 years.'

Last week, on a flying stop at North Shields library I managed to have a quick glance at the Tynemouth General Cemetery file.  There are several Joblings buried there apparently.  No Edward though.  I do think I recall an Ann Jobling.  I will not get time this week to get there but I will go next week and make a list of the Joblings buried and what year and if you think any are relevant I will look these up.  If an Ann Jobling is there, as I do think I recall, I will look up her details.

Also a possible for Ann in 1813.

I don't think the cemetery opened until the mid-1850's  :-\

Hi

It’s possible my friend is related to these people.  I will check with her and see if they appear in her tree.

It’s possible they are families of means, hence both were literate.
