Great, SolidRock.

I think I saw a reference to Richard Burley in Canada with a match to his age earlier today, so this does not surprise me.

How did you find the link?
FindMyPast does not seem to have the same 'incoming passengers' list.

All the earlier material to Theodosia Hoadley is familiar to me but thanks anyway.

They had a daughter, May Burley born 1898 who may have accompanied them and stayed in Canada.

However, my curiosity about this family is satisfied at this point and I am happy to call this topic closed. I will leave it open for a few more hours in case something turns up.

The information I gave you was from the digitised record on Ancestry.

Thanks DBree

Theodosia is not a central target of mine so I don't need to have detail on her children.
She is a sister to several Hoadleys that migrated to NZ. I simply wanted to see if she
was part of that migration. As it turns out, this research shows that she had a completely different life story.
I will be closing this topic down shortly.

Thanks all.
