Where on 1881 CENSUS?
« on: Sunday 30 December 18 19:38 GMT (UK) »
Hello People's,
Hi to you and thanks for taking the time to read my request. I cannot for some reason find my G / G Grandfather on the 1881 CENSUS.
ALFRED WENTZELL he was born 1856/1857 Wirral / Birkenhead, Cheshire / Lancashire. I have him on 1861 Census under WENTELER. I have him on 1871 under Wensell. I have him on 1891 under WENTZELL and family.Have been unable to find him on the 1881 Census. He married in 1879 ( Charlotte Wannell ). He emigrated in 1893. So there's no more English Census records from then on. Any help of finding him on the 1881 Census much appreciated

In case it helps, according to the 1891 census, their son Harry was born in 1882 in Newhaven, Sussex. So they may have been in that area.

So that narrows it down to either Camberwell or possibly Newhaven.
