Married 28 October 1906 at St David’s, Birmingham:

Christopher George Sutton 44 bach porter of 19 Ct Sherlock St.  Father: Charles Sutton decd, engine driver.
Maria Louisa Walker 32 spinster of 19 Ct Sherlock St.  Father: Edward Walker decd, packer.

Witnesses: William Brookes; Catherine M Greening.

It looks as though “George” Sutton may have been born in Dublin & Maria Louisa Walker in Birmingham.  George Edward may have been their only child. 

(There are later Sutton/Walker birth registrations in Birmingham, but they appear to belong to Howard Oliver Sutton and Rose Hannah Walker who married in 1911.)

Edward George walker born 1 June 1906 to mother Haywood, in North Birmingham. (I have been told the family a bit further down the line were from the Aston area, but this is not confirmed as yet - but this would fit with this record).

Edward Walker married Doreen Brace in Q1 1949 in Birmingham.

Agnes Haywood married George E Walker in Q2 1926 in Birmingham.

1939 census shows the family living together at 20 George Street, Birmingham along with Agnes’ mother, also an Agnes Haywood.

Daughter Agnes died in 1962 with the probate record still showing her at 20 George St. She was last seen alive then found dead the next day. It’s noted that her husband is George E Walker.

Looking at all the info I have, I cannot be sure they were actually born in Birmingham at all. 🤔

Edward George walker born 1 June 1906 to mother Haywood, in North Birmingham.

This isn’t the right date - later records show that Edward George Walker was born on 11 June 1926 and died in Hull, death registered May 1995.

Assuming it is the birth registration of Edward Walker in June quarter of 1906 in Aston Registration District, then the mother's maiden name is Price - GRO Index.  The only Edward George Walker registered in 1906 was March quarter in Bethnal Green, with mother's maiden name of Pritchard.

Edward G Walker, registered in September quarter 1926 in Birmingham Registration District has mother's maiden name as Haywood - FreeBMD.

I've just noticed an electoral roll for 1927 that states AGNES HAYWOOD & WILLIAM HAYWOOD & GEORGE EDWARD WALKER are living in Birmingham. George is absent, it appears he's in the navy.

I've just noticed an electoral roll for 1927 that states AGNES HAYWOOD & WILLIAM HAYWOOD & GEORGE EDWARD WALKER are living in Birmingham. George is absent, it appears he's in the navy.

Having looked into this a bit more, it seems Agnes is the occupier of the property, William is there by residence, and George is absent due to being in the army. So it's probable that William is Agnes' father maybe? On the 1939 register, it appears Agnes and George are living with the mother Agnes Haywood. Maybe Agnes' parents separated.

I also think George's birth is 01/03/04 (not 1903 as recorded on 1939 register). I've found his army records. His birth record then tallies with the new birth date in Birmingham with mother's maiden name as WALKER.
