HUTCHISON- Auld Mills Farm, The Racks, Dumfries

I have just done my DNA and uploaded to Gedmatch Genesis. Hoping to find out if my great grandfather is actually who I thought he was as my grandfather was illegitimate
Looking for any Hutchisons that are related to the Auld Mill Farm family to see if they have done a DNA and if they are willing to share there Gedmatch kit number...privately...to see if I get a match

I believe that any matches would be listed in the 1 to many tool in Gedmatch. That's how it works with me.

With whom did you do your original test - Ancestry, My Heritage, etc?

I did my original test with Ancestry...I am really hoping to find a connection with Hutchison. It doesn’t always have people’s real names on Gedmatch...that’s why I though I might try here

Hello, I'm not sure whether this helps but my husband is a direct descendant of the Hutchisons at Auld Mills, Racks but he has not done a DNA test. Just wondered why you think you may be related to that family.

Hello, nice to meet another Hutchison online! 

I am new to Roots Chat and so do not have access to Personal Messaging system at the moment (to supply an email address) because I have not made the necessary first three Posts in RootsChat.

I use Ancestry and have a private tree listed under my name, Alison Hutchison. If you contact me via Ancestry I could share my tree.

My husband is G4Grandson of Robert Hutchison (1772-1842) and Margaret Swan (1767-1851) of Auld Mills through their second son James Hutchison (1803-1888) who, after a period of time in Buckinghamshire, emigrated to Australia with all of his family in 1848.   

We live in Australia but have visited Dumfries-shire  to find headstones etc. I am part way through drafting a family history of James Hutchison in Australia.  However, I do not know much about the Hutchisons back in Auld Mills.
