I wonder if Alice thought her grandfather was her father, it only comes to my mind because a family tree I did for someone else the exact same thing happened

Perhaps the birth certificate for Alice mentioned earlier will solve your problem. Like Louisa maud I think it very likely that Alice named her grandfather on her marriage, I have seen instances of this quite a bit.

I do think that the census I have given with her living with her grandfather is your Alice.

Minnie 1

The only child amongst these 4 has a maiden name of Boon and that is George, no MMN against Jane
