This is an unknown family member.  Would like to know the date range of this picture to narrow down the options.  Thanks so much!

Well, it appears to be a little boy, and later than Edwardian, since hes in trousers.
The shoe of the invisible adult appears to have spats, so im leaning early 1920s

the plant(s) also do not look english. is that a tradescantia-like plant in the background?

Thank you so much!  :)  My guess is that this picture was taken in MA or NJ. I'm not sure about the plant, but I will certainly look into it.  I never thought about that.
