Louisa Mary STEVENSON-WOODHOUSE
« on: Tuesday 01 January 19 20:48 GMT (UK) »
We're experiencing difficulty in finding out more about my wife's namesake great-grandmother, Louisa Mary Stevenson-Woodhouse. My late mother-in-law supplied us with most of the information, some of which 'might' have been verified (but if so, decades ago and I've possibly forgotten). Strangely I have no sources noted, other than the 1861 census of England where I comment on finding her parents,( but not her?).

We have Louisa born 1855 to parents Charles James Woodhouse and Eliza Stevenson.

On 01 April 1876 we have her marrying William Humphrys. Her address at the time appears to have been 28 Newington Crescent. I must have seen this marriage registration at some time.

For date of death we have December 1927.

Help with Louisa's date of birth, names of possible siblings and such would be much appreciated.

Brian

Hi Pauline...

We really don't know where or when they married. All the (little) info we have on Louisa & her family was included.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi
Looking at the 1861 Census I think it could be Louisa dau aged 6 on there possibly mistranscribed on FindMyPast at least (Senora)
Looks like the name starts with an L (as in a Lucy a couple of names down) but the name is unclear.

That's correct - at St Mary Newington

William Humphrys, bachelor of 189 East St, plumber & decorator. Father Samuel, plumber & decorator
Louisa  Mary Stevenson Woodhouse, spinster, 28 Newington Crescent. Father Charles James, house decorator

Charles James and Eliza Woodhouse were the witnesses. All signed
