Lochmaben Old Cemetary

Hello, I am from Canada but visiting Scotland this week.

I've traced our Smith family to Lochmaben and Dalswinton:
 (John b. 1712 and Mary (Muir) b. 1714),
(John b.29-10-1734 and Margaret (Dunbar) b. 26-11-1732, married 1-8-1754),
(William b. 4-1-1756 and Mary (Mundle) b. 20-3-1761, father James Mundle).

I am trying to find out where they are buried, likely Lochmaben Old Cemetary behind High Street, or Kirkmahoe Burial Grounds aka St Blanes or the Kirkmahoe Churchyard perhaps? Could anyone provide advice from any burial lists?

The Archives for Dumfries & Galloway, is at the Ewart Library, Dumfries.
The Scots have an extra day Bank Holiday for new year, not sure if they had New Years Eve, to make a long weekend, or the 2nd?

They also have a large set of Volumes of transcriptions of Gravestone Inscriptions (M.I.) at Dumfries, if they had a Memorial, some have useful details.

I cannot see any family history listing online, at Lochmaben Library. I cannot picture or remember the size of Lockerbie Library.

The Dumfries & Galloway Region is a Unitary Authority (South-west Scotland), which was once separate Counties and each County tended to have its own collection, so if you find the family are further afield, check with Dumfries who holds any particular County records now, if required.

I know Dumfries were storing records off-site, so I would not leave it until the last day of your trip.

Dumfries when open, is the main Archives for former Dumfriesshire.
Lochmaben was in the former County of Dumfries
