Finding a Connection

I am smacking my head against a brick wall....I think this is a silly question but here goes anyway.

I have Ralph HEAPY (b) 1645, Adders Green, Staffordshire....and Joseph HEAPY/HEAPIE (b) 1683, Lancashire,  this info is on a family data sheet I was given, no one knows how they are related, but family member's say they are...I don't know where to begin but hoping there is someone out there who may be clever enough to do it.....

Not sure if connected to this one....Joseph Heape baptised 8 th June 1681 st Mary Prestwich son of Richard.

Or Joseph Heape son of Thomas and Mary baptised Oldham 1681.

Not sure of this either...Ralph Heape baptised 2nd sept' 1645 in Walsall,St Matthews...It's on FreeReg

Thank you both for the info, I have no Joseph baptised 8th June 1681...but I do have Ralph born 1645, he married Ellen maiden name unknown.

I think this is going to prove very difficult to connect the relation these two people, will have to move on to something else.

The Ralph Heape baptised 2nd Sept 1645 in Walsall was buried 23 Nov 1646 as Ralph Heap (Father Ralph Heap)
His Parents look to be Margery COKKETT/Ralph HEAPE who married 15 Jun 1628
On some of their childrens Baptisms she is Margerie eg Elizabeth 1631 and others Mary eg Ralph 846 and his twin Brother Francis.
Raph Heap was buried 13 Apr 1684

The Joseph baptised 1681 in Prestwich was buried in 1685.

The only Ralph with a Wife Ellen appears to be in Cheshire;

Burial of a JOHN Heapiee 05 Apr 1672 same Parents and a ELINE Heapiee 02 Apr 1672 ditto.
